Polyurethane is a thermo set plastic which tends to retain its shape. The ability to be formed into almost any shape, size and hardness makes PU extremely versatile. This material is often used as a substitute for rubber components whose quality decreases over time. With its flexibility and resistance properties under pressure, stress or compression, PU easily outperforms rubber. In addition, Polyurethane has better abrasion, aging and tear resistance than rubber. Polyurethane Rubber
PU characteristics:
Excellent abrasion resistance
Resistant to oil, solvents, sunlight and weather conditions
Excellent mechanical properties, combined with rubber-like elasticity
Usage in the temperature range from -30 C to 80 C
Insulator for electricity
Good sound and vibration dampening properties
